FIRST DAY FAQ

 

What time does school start?

Students can enter the school beginning at 9:15 am.

School officially starts at 9:30 am.

Are there any programs before school?

Yes, our Early Stallions Program begins at 7:00 am each morning. The cost is $25 per week, with a one-time registration fee of $25. Visit the Early Stallion page below for more information.

How will students get their schedules?

All students will receive a current schedule on the first day upon arriving at school. Students will be directed to the school cafeteria, where they will receive the latest version of their schedule.  

 

How does block scheduling work?

The school year is divided into ODD and EVEN days. The first day is an ODD day. Students will visit each of their odd number classes. (1,3,5,7,9,11). The second day, (2,4,6,8,10,12). This pattern continues through the end of the school year.

 

Is there a cost for breakfast or lunch?

The School District of Lee County offers all students FREE breakfast and lunch each day. For more information about this program, please click below.

Can parents walk their students to a class?

Parents may walk their students to the cafeteria in the morning. However, they must first check in at the main desk and receive a visitor sticker. Please have a picture ID ready to scan for access. Parents are not permitted to walk students to each class or eat lunch with their students.

 

How does afternoon dismissal work?

Just before 4pm, we begin our dismissal process. Students are dismissed in the following order; Parent Pick-up, Busses, Bike Riders, and Walkers.

Parents choosing to pick up their students should review the student pick-up map. Parents are asked to have their GREEN TAG visible in their window with the numbers facing outward. If you have not received a tag, please speak with a school staff member about how to get one.
