Hello parents and guardians, We’re in the homestretch with only a few weeks left. We need to finish strong so please support your students with completing their assignments and their final FAST and EOC testing. We have so many students who are already doing everything they can so kudos to them! If any student is in danger of failing a course for the quarter or the school year, I encourage you to reach out to Mrs. Ramos, Mrs. Layner, Mrs. Colon, or Mrs. Perez who can supply you with information about mastery tests or Summer School. There are several end-of-year events so please stay tuned to the parent messages we’ll be sending home to all and those will be posted on our website as well. I am always available by email or phone if you have any concerns or questions.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Bonita Springs Middle Center for the Arts! I am so honored to be the Principal of this amazing school. Several years ago, I started teaching in Lee County and I’m proud to say it is the only place I’ve ever wanted to work. Our district and school offer so many opportunities for students to learn and thrive. Our goal at BSMCA is to provide a school where students can excel in academics, athletics, and of course, the Arts. Our students receive Core instruction at the highest level, with rigorous engagement continually offered through AVID and Cambridge curriculums and strategies. Through our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system, Character Education, and progressive discipline plans, students are exposed to the value of personal responsibility and respect. We strongly encourage critical and creative thinking in every area and routinely celebrate the many successes and achievements of our students. Through our participation in Accelerated Reader, every student is encouraged to read daily in order to maintain and increase reading proficiency. At BSMCA, we want ALL students to participate in their interests and receive the support they need to prepare for the next level in their educational journey. Please feel free to reach out to a member of our staff if we can assist you in helping you or your student meet that goal.

In partnership,
Principal Layner
