March Newsletter 2023
March Newsletter 2023
Dear Parents and Community Members, Just like that, it’s March and we’re inching close to Spring Break! With only a few months left of the 2022-2023 school year, it is critically important to maintain grades. We’re asking parents to follow up with students to ensure all work is completed. In order to minimize the number of failures, please continue to work with our teachers to help keep your students on track. We will mark the end of the quarter on March 17th, which will be a regular school day for students. Any semester one and quarter three failures will be addressed and contact will be made with the parent.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Bonita Springs Middle Center for the Arts! I am so honored to be the Principal of this amazing school. Several years ago, I started teaching in Lee County and I’m proud to say it is the only place I’ve ever wanted to work. Our district and school offer so many opportunities for students to learn and thrive. Our goal at BSMCA is to provide a school where students can excel in academics, athletics, and of course, the Arts. Our students receive Core instruction at the highest level, with rigorous engagement continually offered through AVID and Cambridge curriculums and strategies. Through our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system, Character Education, and progressive discipline plans, students are exposed to the value of personal responsibility and respect. We strongly encourage critical and creative thinking in every area and routinely celebrate the many successes and achievements of our students. Through our participation in Accelerated Reader, every student is encouraged to read daily in order to maintain and increase reading proficiency. At BSMCA, we want ALL students to participate in their interests and receive the support they need to prepare for the next level in their educational journey. Please feel free to reach out to a member of our staff if we can assist you in helping you or your student meet that goal.

In partnership,
Principal Layner
