We will watch, discuss, and draw different anime throughout the school year. We will have small drawing competitions, learn the history of anime, and overall have fun being our otaku-selves.

Battle of the Books

Students read and become experts on the Sunshine State books throughout the school year and then travel to the district office to compete against other Lee County middle schools.

Students read a high-interest YA novel each month and then meet at the end of the month to discuss the book.

 Gaming Club  Mrs. Dougherty

 Gamers will meet to play together and exchange gamer information to play outside of school.

They may also play Chess (physical game or online). Students must have Cs or above to be considered for membership, and no referrals. Dropping below a C in any class will mean no gaming and working on improving the grade with me instead.

Girl Power Club

Through discussion, fun activities, sharing, group games, and art, our Girl Power group is designed to help girls build skills, gain confidence, and enjoy the connection.

Girl Step Team

Ms. Hudson

A school step team puts on performances that involve drill-team moves, cheerleading, gymnastics, and acrobatics. Stepping always involves clapping and stomping, sometimes simultaneously, and allows steppers to use their bodies to create rhythms.

We meet on the first and third Friday of each month from 8:30 am-9:15 am. We open Mell's room every other morning as we work on projects.

This club aims to further students' abilities to play musical instruments.  Additionally, this club is designed to show students different genres of music that they would not have listened to or played traditionally.
